Another Me 03:54
the swifts have gone, life gets so busy I didn’t have chance to say goodbye they must’ve flown while I was away walking familiar hills with their swift-less sky surrounded by gorse and tight contour lines I rise a thousand feet on the sides of these hills with a different view it’s another me I meet the paths are here, well worn by many no-one is here to slow me down one swallow dives a final display I don’t know anyone but I know these towns surrounded by gorse and tight contour lines...
surrounded by fields of tight contour lines... down in the valley, out of the sun rain-soaked and future cloaked just like everyone else I rise a thousand feet
2.
counting dreams, holding on to them precious as spider thread sometimes it’s up to me where they go, where dreams go do i listen when they talk to me? talk to me with hope and put their heart fully in to my shaking hands, shaking hands
fine words are often spoken but words alone get nothing done we all have faults and cracks and a time to run, a time to run
power sits heavy on the heart frightening and hard to take and wishes come for giving it all away, all away
fine words are often spoken... knowing this is half the battle we can do, or do nothing at all
 fine words are often spoken...
 in tired armour, tired armour
3.
there's a song to carry me In the dead of the evening a song gives me wings to carry on a message to bring along in the dead of the night now a tune and trust is word to come through my blackbird in the tree my blackbird sings solely to me telling tales and memories my blackbird in the tree my blackbird sings solely for me never fails world is turning and we are a small revolution from now till then no conclusion my blackbird in the tree... and sure as the sunrise the night sky hails the day as it’s dawning a song for the free
4.
where you once sat, now sits a question in shadows draped, in my possession a tender time, fearless movements and we so blind to those we leave behind I can live with growing older, my love for all the rainbows of October I can live if I remember, my love all the rainbows of October where you once stood, this dark doorway I could not bear to send you away forbidden times, sins to befriend and but one way all this could end I can live with growing older... closing our eyes won’t work, too tired of the dance don’t ask me if I’d take a second chance
5.
All My Days 03:35
I’ve stared at this wall for hours waiting for something to happen I know you’re not coming home I know that’s how it will play
all my days were wrapped around you wait all my days to get a message through hurts every day while life grows long all my days I carry on
I still think I can hear you talking my dreams are full of what I’m missing I’m here listening on my own I know that’s how it will play
 all my days...
and now we know of the chemistry that can’t be concealed now we know the hidden love is real you can take my hand and we will move in time with our heart beats I know now we’re coming home
I know that’s how it can play
all my days are wrapped around you wait all my days to get a message through love every day while life grows long all our days we carry on
6.
I’m so sorry, I’m not coming back I would never have chosen this way I’m just following tracks you'll watch my back as I walk away as our sun sets low on this final day what kept me from you will surely take me from you I’m so sorry, I’m not coming back I can’t let you see my mistakes cause I know what I’m holding will fall through the cracks I would never have chosen this way I’m just following tracks I’ll taste the rain as I walk away and my face will fade in your memory What kept me from you... I’ll fail you so I must go before the tears, I can’t show the man I never want you to see
7.
the sky cannot make up its mind our neighbour’s tree rattles, undecided enough to make the leaves sound like gentle waves tall grass that we’ve left wild on purpose gives a quiet dance of soft air movement but stillness is still the thing that I most feel and you are the reason that I’m still sitting here you are the reason I have all this love so near the sky can do just as it pleases the weather changes in subtle mood swings enough to make me think should we go inside? and you are the reason... we’ll stay here just as long as we can allow ourselves to be drenched to our skins and soak it all up so deep as we come alive
8.
looking hard to find a lost soul to know I’m not the only one seeking diamonds in a black hole as I have always done other minds will throw me something different threads I’ve never spun I will struggle with their meaning as I have always done I can listen to the voices they surround me with their love their language and their choices are not enough staring far into the distance need to know where I could run find the edges of existence as I have always done trying hard to stop the judging open up to everyone feel the rain and know I’m living as I have always done
9.
and so I take up my position on the edges, once more my friend, who brought me in from somewhere can’t help me any more as our connections are dissolving and my wrist watch no longer turns my friend, who brought me in from somewhere now memories, one learns I will go looking for some places to breathe my friend looking with me I will go looking for some places to be with my friend these images will visit daily and I want them, and I do not my friend, who brought me in from somewhere reminds us of what we’ve got and I will go looking...

about

ALL MY DAYS is the new album from singer/songwriter/producer David Edward Booth.
It features a host of talented guests including Texas founding guitarist Ally Mcerlaine and Suffolk singer/songwriter Kelly Bayfield.
The creation of this album marked a turning point in David's approach to producing his own music. Very early on in the process he actively opened up to the idea of including a co-producer for the whole journey. Having recently produced Kelly's Bayfield's critically- acclaimed debut solo album Wave Machine, David invited Kelly to return the favour and have a co-producer role, as well as lending her outstanding voice and arrangement skills.
The album was recorded by David and his collaborators in Suffolk, Northumberland, London, Essex, West Sussex and Sweden over an 18 month period between late 2021 and early 2023. Each contributor restored belief, brought fresh perspective and new influxes of energy to keep the project moving during some difficult times. The ideas were collated by David and the songs mixed by him in his Suffolk studio - The Recording Booth – in the immediate weeks following the loss of his mother. The process became a welcome distraction, but the grief would also bring motivation to finish the album and to grasp life that bit tighter - a subject touched on more than once in the album...
“the swifts have gone, life gets so busy I didn’t have chance to say goodbye...”
Many of David's songs start life during walks on the Suffolk coast, or in the High Peak hills of his native Derbyshire. Often they remain as unanswered questions...
“surrounded by gorse and tight contour lines, I rise a thousand feet
on the sides of these hills, with a different view, it’s another me I meet...”
Among the contemplation and uncertainty, positivity and comfort is often found in the power of, and a connection with the natural world...
“I can live with growing older, my love, for all the rainbows of October I can live if I remember, my love, all the rainbows of October...”
